I became a licensed Technician Ham in Feb. of 2010 and then upgraded to General the following month.

Started life as a ham with a simple setup.

Yeasu FT-8900, a J-Pole  a power supply and I was on the Air!!

Since then I have upgraded to a Kenwood TS-2000 and a 40ft Tower as you can see from my photo section.

I am the ARES / ACS Emergency Coordinator and Radio Officer for  Pinellas County ACS, ARES.

A Member of SKYWARN, and also the VP of the St. Petersburg Amature Radio Club (SPARC)

I am also a member of Air Force MARS AFA4OA

I have recently setup an RMS Packet station at my location (KJ4RUS-10 145.070) for WL2K messaging

And also operate the West Link of the WD4SCD Repeater System 147.030 pl. 146.2

And I have the 442.925 UHF Repeater (KJ4RUS/r) at this location also
